21 months

Saylor had a fun month.  She spent her first three nights away from mom and dad (ever) while they went to state track.  She did great with both sets of Grandpas and Grandmas sharing babysitting duties.  She might have even gotten a little spoiled but we have no proof.  Then she got to spend Memorial Day weekend with the Vander Maten's in Florida.  Besides that, she spent her last few days at daycare and is now stuck at home with mom and dad for the summer.  The weather hasn't been warm enough to enjoy the swimming pool just yet, but she still loves to play outside especially on the slides at the park, going for walks, golfing, or playing with bubbles.  Indoors, well, she just isn't a fan of doing much indoors other than eating, reading books before bed and watching part of Mickey Mouse when she wakes up   She got her big girl queen size bed this month.  She's done great and either sleeps through the night or wakes up once by calling for us.  We haven't really had to fight her getting out of her bed, yet.  She usually takes a nap right after dinner for anywhere from 1.5-3 hours.  When she's not sleeping, she's just a chatterbox.  She can answer questions and speak in short sentences  Last month she put a "yaa" after every phrase but this month she adds a "now" after everything.  She also tells us she "needs" something.  She always speaks in third person so some common phrases are, "Saylor do it now," "Saylor need it," "Outside now," and "Hold you, now" (which means she wants to be carried.)  She's getting so much smarter and making connections. The other day Wade and her were talking about birds and how they have wings and she said, "Airawpanes (airplanes) have wings, too."  She's got her colors and shapes pretty much down but counting is not going so well.  She always says 1, 2, 5, 9 10 and she has no interest in learning otherwise.  She does love to have her 10 piggies painted pink, though.  Best thing she says this month is when you tell her you love her and she says, "Ove (love) you, too, Daddy, Mommy, Daddy." Daddy always gets two shout-outs :)
