What a fun month we had! We got to spend lots of quality time with Saylor since we had a 16 day Christmas vacation from school. Daddy spent countless hours chasing, spinning, scaring, and playing hide-and-seek with Saylor. I know she liked this better than any toy or present she got for Christmas. She also liked going sledding, building a snowman, jumping on her trampoline and playing with her new toys, especially her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She likes to help cook and bake but is most helpful licking the batter. She still loves to read books (Eensy Weensy Spider, Goldilocks and The Three Bears and The Three Little Pigs) and play pretend. She is becoming quite independent. She insists on putting her own socks and shoes on and will sometimes go potty by herself among other things. She likes to watch any PBS show or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and she absolutely loves Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2. She pretends to be Gru and tells us Daddy is Dr. Nafario and Mommy and Milo are minions. She giggles, belly laughs and shrieks at the minions. Her favorite foods are muffins, cheese sticks and goldfish crackers. She's pretty much a night owl and goes to bed late but still takes a 1.5-3 hour nap in the afternoon. We can actually get her to say 1, 2, 3 every once in awhile but counting is still a struggle. She's starting to sing the ABC's and knows most of the song, Take Me Out to the Ballgame, and sings… something… in church. Some things she says a lot are:"Will you pway with me, mommy? please?"
"That'd be good."
" I can do it."
"Get me Daddy, get me!"
"I love YOU so much."
And if you tell her to do something she doesn't really want to do she will shrug her shoulders and say "fine" or "okay" (with a little attitude.)
We have 15 Raider and Rocket basketball games to attend in the next 24 days of January along with meeting a new cousin/niece or nephew which we are super excited about. It's going to be a fun month!
