2 Months

Collyns is two months old and growing too fast.  At her check-up her head was 15 in. (31st percentile), she was 23 1/4 in. tall (84th percentile), and she weighed in at 11 lbs. 13 oz. (79th percentile.)  These are all a bit smaller than Saylor was at this same age.  She just started smiling and cooing which is so fun.  She drinks 3 oz. of milk about every 3 hours and is pretty random on napping throughout the day.  She's slept through the night on several occasions.  The best being 10:30pm-7:30am, but that was sleeping in her carseat where she was propped up.  Over break we've tried the small bassinet again lying flat on her back and sleeping hasn't gone as well.  She is so noisy and makes sounds nonstop when on her back that keep her (and us) from sleeping.  A few things that make Collyns unique is that she has a small birth mark on her tummy and her left ear is smooth on the inside and sticks out just a bit.  She's not a huge fan of her pacifier but will take it on occasions.  She's also not a huge fan of her sister's tight hugs and slobbery kisses.  While Saylor means well and truly loves to kiss and hug her sister, it usually ends in Collyns crying.  She likes to watch the fish on her swing, be talked to, and held on your shoulder while patting her back.  She's a cuddler and we love every minute of that. Mom went back to work this week so that has been an adjustment for all but is going just fine.  One more month and summer will be here!
