2 Years 8 Months

This month Saylor is absolutely loving when she can play outside.  She is definitely an "outdoorsy" girl.  She loves to play in the dirt or her "garden," ride bike, play in the park, go on walks, jump on our neighbor boy's trampoline, or just dink around doing anything outside.  She especially likes to play with the neighbor girl, Sarah.  Other things she likes doing are playing with her cousins, kissing and hugging Collyns until she cries, and talking loudly.  As far as food goes, she pretty much likes everything but some meals she'll eat a lot and sometimes she'll eat barely anything, even if it was the exact same food.  It usually depends on how many snacks she talked everyone into letting her have if she's hungry for supper or not.  Nana's 15 minute lesson has improved her "s" sound on words like spoon, spitting, and sky.  She's also been napping every day but usually for only about an hour or two.  She's been going to bed earlier (8:30 - 9:00) but wakes up and comes to our room sometime in the middle of the night.  She will sleep until 8:30 if we didn't have school or church but since that rarely never happens she's usually up by 7:00.  Right now Saylor is loud and talkative around people she knows (mom, dad, grandpas and grandmas, cousins and daycare) but very shy around anyone else, which most of us who know her can't really fathom. She seems to get along well with any little kid that is willing to play with her and truly enjoys playing with others.  We know Saylor is super excited for summer which means playing outside, swimming, golfing with daddy, riding bike and going on lots of walks but the trade-off is missing her daycare buddies.
