Someone is pretty excited about their home-made Halloween costume this year! Wade used his robe from his graduation, the tie is from my dad and he had his art teacher paint on yellow stripes. The glasses are from classroom props I use for a class project, and the lightning scar is from the make-up bag. He's most proud of his wand. Typically, Wade emails us during the day. However, the other day he said he was too busy to email. Later that night it came out he was "busy" googling how to make a home-made wand.... hmm... Either way, the wand is pretty impressive. He made it out of rolled-up paper, hot glue, and paint. It's even distressed. Oh, and the end of one side is glued down a bit to help "let out the magic." No need to shop at Ollivander's Wand Shop, my friends! He was so proud of his wand, he made 4 of them. Personally, my favorite touch to his costume is the Harry Potter song playing on repeat coming from his I-pod hiding in his pocket.
