Two Months Old

Saylor turned two months old and had another check-up at the doctor. It did not go well and that was before her three shots.  She proudly showed off her lungs to everyone at the clinic.  I couldn't really tell how bad her shots hurt because it was one continuous scream and cry from the second we walked into the clinic to the second we got back in the car.  Then in about eight blocks on our way home she decided she was exhausted and fell asleep in her car seat for the next hour and a half.  She's been much happier ever since she woke up! However, it was fun to see how much she's grown!  Her head is 15.5 inches (50th percentile), she's 23 and 3/4 inches long (90th percentile), and she weighs 12 lbs. 2 oz. (75th-90th percentile.)  We have a healthy girl!  This month she's been smiling, cooing, and tracking people and other objects.  She seems to recognize mom and dad's voice.  She's discovered her hands and likes to suck on them over a pacifier.  She likes her bath and sleeps through the night now.  Mom went back to work this month, which is hard for mom, but Saylor has fun at an in-home daycare where she is in great hands.  She also spends a day with each grandma.  Overall, Saylor is a happy two-month old baby, healthy eater and excellent sleeper.  We love her so much, especially her big smile and her growing chubby cheeks!
