Thirteen Months

 Saylor is 13 months old today.  She's had a good month going to a lot of football games, learning new tricks, and playing in Milo's water dish and the toilet.  She's still curious and trying to figure out what everything is.  She has learned how to play more independently but loves to be chased, tackled, and thrown into the air.  She likes to make baskets in her basketball hoop with random objects in the room such as remotes, computer chargers, and Milo's toys.  She's very interested in our little books that have a picture and one word on each page and has taken less of an interest in her stuffed animals.  She has been getting lots of new teeth.  She's has at least three new teeth with more popping through (11+ total.)  This has made for some rosy cheeks! She takes a nap or two or three depending on what we do each day.  It's hard to be on a regular schedule when we are so busy at night and away every weekend but she seems to adjust well and go along with whatever we are doing.  She wakes up during the night and can't seem to fall back asleep unless she is with mom and dad. She also went from crying in the bath to crying when she is taken out of the bath which is a nice change.  She covers her eyes to pray, and can hold up one finger for how old she is and show you what Uncle Josh does (touchdown. ) She can point to her toes, belly button and occasionally will get ears, mouth and eyes right but points to her head in general for all three most of the time.  She points to herself and says "mom" so we are working on new ways to teach her who mom is.  She can say "uh-oh," and "hiii-eee." She loves to wave and say it to anyone she sees at ball games, airports, and in the middle of church.  She is so friendly and makes everyone around her smile.
