2 Years, 5 Months

Saylor spent most of her month at basketball games.  She went to over 15 games this past month.  She is a trooper and loves cheering for Daddy's Rockets and Aunt Whitney's Raiders.  Don't worry, she has plenty of fun outside of the gym, too.  She loved spending a few extra days at Grandma's, especially playing with her cousins, Sage and Sori, when her new cousin was born.  At home, she loves playing with her food and kitchen, riding her trike or jumping on the trampoline downstairs, playing hide-and-seek with Daddy, helping bake or cook, and being a self-proclaimed "dancing girl."  She absolutely loves to play pretend.  She likes to read books but especially wants to read the same Mickey Mouse book.  She watches King George (Curious George) after school and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse when she wakes up.  She's a night owl and usually gets her second wind after basketball games.  These make for late nights.  She says some silly things that make us laugh.  If Uncle Josh calls her "Saylor Banana," she is quick to respond that she is "Saylor Bander Maten Gru." (Gru from Despicable Me.)  She also often says in a little, quick voice, "I want somefing," usually while she shuffles her feet.  This means she wants something to eat or drink, which most likely, she knows she shouldn't have.  She will ask anyone this including daycare, Scheels register workers, Fareway checkers, grandmas, random people at church who she knows hand out candy.  If it happens to you… she actually does survive if you say no.  Best of all this month, we can officially say she is potty-trained day AND night. Yay! We made it a few months without buying diapers and never had to buy any size 5 or 6 diapers.  Next month will be fun as Saylor changes from the only child to being a big sister.  She's still stuck on naming the baby, Jimmy Johns.  I'd be okay with that as long as I'm guaranteed my freaky, fast, delivery!
