One Month

Collyns is one month old but we feels like she has been with us forever.  Overall, she is a very sweet and content baby.  She attended nine basketball games in her first three weeks of life.  So far, she's been a great basketball fan.  She did get a bad cold when she was two and three weeks old.  She had a nasty cough and was very congested.  She was a trooper but really struggled to sleep on her back because of congestion and spent most of the night sleeping on mom or dad's chest.  Since then, she still can't seem to fall asleep on her back.  If we get her asleep and put her down she will only sleep for about an hour and when we do get her asleep on her back she is the noisiest sleeper ever.  So, most nights she sleeps in my arms on the couch or on our chests so we can get more than one hour of sleep.  The good thing is she is not awake at night for long periods of time other than to eat once or twice and then falls right back asleep.  But of course, she only stays asleep if we are holding her.  For now we are going to cherish those moments knowing she won't do that forever.  When she is awake she is a good eater, and likes to be held up looking over our shoulder.  She wore newborn clothes all month but is transitioning into some 0-3 months for length.  She gets lots of kisses from her sister but isn't crazy about her extra tight squeezes.  Most people think she looks like her sister or a Vander Maten.
