Collyn's first birthday started off with some singing and pictures and went downhill from there. Right before we left, Saylor was standing on the island, slid off, banged the back of her head on the counter edge, and cut her head open. It made a very loud sound and bled really bad. We are thankful she was not knocked unconscious. Saylor was very brave and received four shots in the head to numb the area and four staples. A few hours later, Collyns had her one year appointment and received four shots and a blood draw. Mom also received a shot and Collyns threw up everywhere twice that night. So, 9 shots, 4 staples, 1 blood draw, and 4 baths later we concluded Collyn's first birthday. We're hoping for a better day of celebrating later this week at her birthday party!
