Summerfest
This weekend was our town's Summerfest. We passed on cruise night and the crazy free swimming day at the pool (which caused them to shut the doors because of reaching max. capacity.) We did run the 5K race on Saturday morning. It was a very hot run but Saylor enjoyed the medals we won and we were glad we did it. We checked out the carnival and craft stands at the park and went to the very hot parade in the afternoon. Dad had to coach basketball so we went to the parade with Grandpa and Grandma Boote, Adam, Courtney and Ryan. Saylor seemed to like the parade and even the loud sirens but the fire engine's random honk scared mom and Saylor... all the way into a building until Saylor calmed down. We watched about 3/4 of the parade and then left early because of the heat. We're sure Cousin Ryan got enough candy for the next ten years or enough to successfully bribe his potty training. We took home a Twin Bing for Dad with a personal shoutout to Saylor from Ron Demers.
